Accessible, timely service to children’s mental health services.
Don’t wait — get help from a professional now.
Sometimes children need help right away in a no-pressure, welcoming environment. The walk-in clinic at Crossroads Children’s Mental Health Centre was created in response to a need we saw in the Ottawa community — we wanted to remove barriers to getting help.
The walk-in clinic gives Ottawa families access to children’s mental health services in a timely way. At Crossroads, we believe that no child or family should ever be left behind. No appointment and no referral is ever needed at the walk-in clinic. It’s also free!
Visitors to the walk-in clinic may access a counselling session, where our experienced, professional staff help identify issues and equip families with tools and strategies to address their concerns. Do you have concerns about:
- Your child’s behaviour?
- Your child’s emotional state?
- School-related issues?
- Your child’s struggles with peers?
- A family conflict?
- Other parenting issues?
The focus of each walk-in session is determined by each family’s unique needs. Our goal is to help generate solutions to address your concerns and for you to leave feeling reassured
Please note: When you visit the walk-in clinic, we are required by law to inquire about custody arrangements. In the event of joint custody, both parents must agree to a child being seen at the clinic.
