Jillie joined the Crossroads team in November of 2021. She provides a safe and nurturing place for children (and their caregivers) to share their stories and struggles and eases them into the therapeutic environment with a friendly face and a lick. HUGE thanks to Lions Foundation Dog Guides Canada, and to Isabelle MacNider, Supervisor, for taking on the role of trainer, handler, and human mom.
Jillie needs to be booked in advance. When she’s available she can attend sessions at our office, and is often here on Wednesdays and Thursdays (Child & Family Clinic days) until 4pm. To book Jillie you can reach us at 613-723-1623 ext 232 and at info@crossroadschildren.ca.
Jillie LOVES children, but rest assured we thoroughly understand that not all children and families are comfortable with dogs. Jillie only meets with visitors after a discussion and a quick bit of training occurs.
