Parent Support and Confidential Helpline.
If you are worried about your child’s mental health, contact us at 613-723-1623, extension 232 or stop by our Walk-In Clinic. We will actively listen to your concerns and help you determine the right course of action for your situation. We may refer you to services within Crossroads Children’s Mental Health Centre or help you find other services in the community that are better suited to your family’s needs. For more information about mental health services available in the community, check out www.eMentalHealth.ca.
Unfortunately, trying to find the right mental health service at the right time for your child can sometimes leave parents and caregivers feeling confused, stressed or lonely. Parents Lifeline of Eastern Ontario (PLEO) is co-located at Crossroads and staffed by parents who understand what you are going through because they have supported their own child through the mental health or addiction system. PLEO can lend a listening ear, provide resources and help you navigate the system to better understand what service options might be available to you in the community.
PLEO’s confidential helpline: 613-321-3211 www.pleo.on.ca info@pleo.on.ca
PLEO also offers support groups for parents/caregivers of children under 12 years old who are struggling with mental health challenges:
When: First Wednesday of every month Time: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m, at Crossroads, 1755 Courtwood Crescent. Groups are open to everyone – you do not need to be a Crossroads client.
