HELP (HEalthy Lifestyles Project)

FOR YOUTH WITH MENTAL DISTRESS

Sleep, physical activity and limiting screen time are all things that help kids feel better. We want to find out what types of online resources kids who are experiencing mental distress would like to use to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

  BECOME INVOLVED IN OUR STUDY!

If you are the parent of a child receiving mental health services at CHEO, and you want to contribute your ideas towards creating a new online resource for supporting healthier lifestyle, then we would like YOU to be a part of our research study!

WHAT IS THE AIM OF OUR STUDY?

The aim of our study is to understand what Internet or electronic formats children receiving mental health support find most helpful for learning new information about living a healthier lifestyle!

If you join our study you will be asked to complete one 30 minute interview with the researcher. You will be asked questions that help us learn about children’s favorite type of online resources that can help them support living a healthier lifestyle! Participation in this research is voluntary.

Participation in this research is voluntary. We cannot guarantee that you will benefit from participating. You may benefit from knowing that you are helping us to understand the healthy lifestyle e-resource needs of youth experiencing mental distress. If you choose to hear more about this study, we will also talk to you about any potential risks related to your participation.

This study is approved by the CHEO Research Ethics Board.
