Mindfulness is like a superpower.
Have you ever heard of Mindfulness?
It’s a a mental state achieved by focusing your awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting your feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations. Mindfulness can help you develop important skills to improve your mental health, deal with stress and worries, improve your focus and concentration, and give you more energy.
If you’re between six and 12 years of age, check out these mindfulness activities.
For children under the age of six, Mini MindMasters is an evidence-informed resource that parents/ caregivers and educators can use to develop positive living skills through simple, age appropriate activities.
MindMasters was developed by Dr. Terry Orlick, a world leader in sports psychology and founder of the Zone of Excellence. Dr. Orlick generously provided this resource to the Child and Youth Health Network of Eastern Ontario and the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
