July 20, 2020:
The safety of children & families and employees at Crossroads Children’s Mental Health Centre is of utmost importance. It drives how Crossroads is responding to COVID-19.
Masks are an essential tool in ensuring everyone’s safety. We are asking for donations of hand-sewn cloth masks for children over the age of 2 and under the age of 12. If you are able to help please contact us at 613-723-1623 ext 232 or at email@example.com. Thank you in advance!
These are challenging and unprecedented times. The COVID-19 pandemic has put our community in a very difficult situation, and we are all trying to find ways to cope. You may feel worried, overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, and even fearful at times and that is entirely normal. Much has changed in our day to day lives and that can be overwhelming for anyone but especially for children with emotional, social, and behavioural challenges and their families. You may need a little support getting through the next few weeks and Crossroads wants you to know you are not alone, we are still here for you. Though we may have closed our physical doors to the public, we remain available to you virtually.
What are were doing?
Crossroads is following the guidelines and directives provided by the Ministry of Health of Ontario and Ottawa Public Health. We continue to monitor the situation closely, communicate regularly with our partners across the city and province and are committed to keeping our clients and employees informed.
The health, safety and well-being of our clients and employees remains our top priority.
All visits to Crossroads Children’s Mental Health Centre are suspended until further notice. All our programs and services remain available virtually.
We will be providing clients in all of our programs with services through video conferencing and/or teleconferencing. A Crossroads’ team member will be in touch to make arrangements to continue providing services on a weekly basis at times best suited to meet your needs and preferences.
Walk-in clinic services continue to be offered. Crossroads understands the stress families are dealing with at the moment. This can translate to children having a hard time self-regulating with all the unstructured time, or experiencing anxiety about the current situation, or parents struggling between work and taking care of a child that may not have the skills to keep themselves busy. Our team remains available to the community by phone or video conferencing.
To book your walk-in session, please call 613-723-1623 extension 232 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and someone will be in touch with you shortly. Please know that our phone number may appear as unknown or blocked.
Still have questions regarding our service adaptations please contact us by phone at 613-723-1623 extension 232 or by email at email@example.com.
